A review: LUSH Bathos Bubble Bar

I have had probably one of the longest weeks ever... they say time goes fast when you're preoccupied but it really doesn't when you actually WANT it to go fast!! I've been up earliest at 5:30am every morning to get into work for 8am, or I've been up at 6am to get into uni for 9am lectures!! I used to do it 5 days a week back when I was at school - I honestly don't know how I did it!

So, after a very tiring week I came home today and decided to run myself a lovely hot bath with the Bathos Bubble Bar from LUSH. It was my first time trying it, but I was looking forward to it. The saleswoman at lush said it was great to relieve stress and relax your muscles because there's loads of jasmine, lavender and ylang ylang in it.

She was right to say so - the minute I crumbled it into the bath all the scents were released and it was amazing! I looooooooooooooove the smell of this bubble bar - I think it's one of my favourite scents, along with the creamy candy bubble bar/rockstar soap and the karma bubble bar too =]

Once I stepped into the water, I felt instantly relaxed and the scents of Bathos truly helped me to just forget everything and slip into my own little world for a little while where everything was stress free [hehe]

SO! Five stars for the Bathos Bubble Bar, and I strongly reccomend it to anyone who gets stressed easily and especially anyone who's got exams round the corner. It helps! Trust me! ... This week I'm truly exhausted and I'm forcing my eyes to stay open til the end of this blog post! Lol

Have a great weekend everyone! =]

Youtube tutorial - Long Lasting lip colour - Red Lips

I wanted to make this video because the other night I had someone come up to me and said "I love your lipstick! It's so refreshing to see something bold and bright... and NEW!" ... and that was about 5/6 hours after I had actually applied it. I actually forgot I had it on! Haha... but it was nice to know that it was still on even though I hadn't topped it up =]

Red lips are becoming more and more worn now-a-days... I know plenty of people who only associate wearing red lipstick in the evening, if they're on a date or going out for a snazzy night with friends and they want to look dressed up, and make an effort. But, I also know many people and have seen many on the London underground at 8am wearing red lipstick too!! And if they're not wearing it to go to work or college, then they have some other amazing way to stay prim and proper all night - AND maintain the vibrancy of their red lipstick too haha!

I also work in a university student union, and I've seen plenty of the girls wearing red lippy! So it's well worn now!

So without further or do, if you wanna know how to get irresistable red lips ;), go ahead and click here for the tutorial! Some of the steps may seem odd, but it really helps it last FOREVER! =D

Youtube tutorial - Day look - Tan and brown

I'm re-writing this blog post simply because, I rerecorded it for youtube and I also now have pictures. So, I have literally copy and pasted this whole blog from the old blog post, so the rest is exactly the same - no need to read it if you read the older post. The only improvement is the pictures! =]

I love this look purely for the fact that:

1. It's so easy to do!

2. You can get it done quickly!

3. You can make it as dramatic or non dramatic as you want

4. It's perfect to wear any time of the day and EVERYDAY.

Now let's discuss these ;)

1. It's so easy to do!

Basically, you don't need to be a make up artist to do this look. It's just THAT easy to do! The products are easy to use and you don't need too many tools - which leads us on to number...

2. You can get it done quickly!

Because you don't need too many tools to get this look done, you don't have to fiddle around. You could probably even just use one brush for this look - just use a fluffy brush for a more sheer layer of the dazzle dust and that same brush for the red/brown outer corner - SORTED! =]

3. You can make it as dramatic or non dramatic as you want

Add black winged eyeliner along your lashline and black eye pencil/kohl pencil along your waterline to get a more evening/dramatic look. OR even just add a darker brown or a grey colour into the outer corner to give your crease some depth to make the look even more dramatic. To keep it more subtle, skip the whole red/brown outer corner altogether and just stick to the one colour on your lid, add your brow highlight, brown eyeliner along upper lash line, gold liner along the water line, and it's complete! The other great thing about keeping it simple on the eyes, is that you can go dramatic on the lips too! Give it a go! =]

4. It's perfect to wear any time of the day and EVERYDAY.

As stated in number 3 you can make this look as dramatic or non dramatic as you wish to. Meaning you can wear a less dramatic version of it during the day and switch it up for an evening look - making it perfect to wear any time of the day ;) ... It's perfect to wear everyday because, lets face it, the products aren't exactly expensive of hard to get a hold of!

So give it a go... what have you got to lose?

E.L.F Haul

Okay, so don't kill me that this blogpost is up majorly late, but I've been on holiday for the last week ;)

These are pretty much all the products that I bought from ELF.

From top left to bottom right:
- Eyebrow Kit (Studio Line) - Medium
- Blush (Studio Line) - Candid Coral
- All over colour Stick - Golden Peach
- Duo Eye Shadow Cream - Berry Mix
- Natural Radiance Blusher - Coy
- Shimmering Facial Whip - Toasted
- Natural Lashes
- Mineral Lipgloss - Sorority Girl
- Luscious Liquid Lipstick - Caramel Candy
- Hypershine Gloss - Fairy

So far, I'm loving almot ALL of the products. I didn't like the Natural Radiance Blusher at first as the colour didn't really show up on my skin, but I've used it as an eyeshadow and it looks fab! I haven't yet tried the duo eyeshadow cream but I hear it works great as a base for eyeshadow - so hopefully I'll be trying it soon!

The last product that I mention in the same haul video is a new concealer that I'm trying out is the Barbara Daly Concealer in Medium.

Her range of products are sold in larger Tesco stores, but this is the first time I've tried a Barbara Daly product. So far, so good. I'm really liking it! A review will be up soon! =D
