August Favourites!

I cannot believe it's already August. It's probably the most favourite time of year for me because it means that my birthday is right around the corner (which, as I get older, isn't really a good thing) and it also means that autumn is closing in on us, and autumn is by far my favourite season =D

Anyway... here are my August favourites. As I said in the video, I can't take any pictures of the collection because annoyingly my camera has decided to break itself (literally... it broke and no-one knows how so I'm sticking to "it broke itself").

1. MAC Paint Pot - Groundwork
2. MAC Eye Shadow - Wedge
3. MAC Eye Shadow - Handwritten
4. Barry M Dazzle Dust - DD82 Mint Green
5. Johnson and Johnson Facial Moisturiser - Dreamy Skin Night Moisturiser and Daily Essentials Facial Moisturise with SPF15
6. MAC Blush - Melba
7. MAC Brush 217 Blending Brush
8. Inglot Brush 28PO
9. GOSH Nail Lacquers - Miss Mole, Miss Grey and Wild Lilac
10. Inglot Brush cleanser

Product Rave: - GOSH Nail Lacquer's

Hey guys!

GOSH is a cosmetic company that is sold in the UK (not too sure where else it's sold but I know it's not available in the US, sorry =[ ) only in Superdrug. Personally, I find it's a fantastic drugstore brand that might provide products with a drugstore price, but has 'high-end make up worthy' quality. My GOSH collection has grown over the last year or so since I found out how great they are; from eyeliners to brushes to eyeshadows. But my latest addition to my GOSH collection is a series of their nail lacquers.

I have quite a few of them but more recently I bought two new colours - Miss Grey and Miss Mole.

Miss Grey - This is a great colour. I've wanted a grey nail polish for ages and when I saw this one I just knew I had to pick it up.

Miss Mole - I actually saw this colour on my hairdressers nails and loved it so much, but couldn't quite get my hands on the exact nail polish she had used. This is a great dupe, and I love it! =D

In general, I love all of the GOSH Nail Lacquers just because they're such great quality. And more often than not, GOSH is 3 for 2 in Superdrug so they're cheap too ... which is always a plus ;)

There are many advantages to these GOSH Nail Lacquers. The consistency is great, with most of the colours you only need one coat of the nail lacquer to get the true, opaue colour, and they dry pretty quickly too. The brush also helps with easy application.

The main disadvantage is that there isn't a wide variety of colours just yet - hopefully they'll continue to build on their collection, as will I. But the colours they do have are certainly unique and worth buying.

Tried them? Let me know your verdict ;)

Youtube Tutorial - Katy Perry Inspired

Howdy!

So, this look was requested by a friend of mine, who would probably be able to pull off this look way better than I can and/or ever could, but it was requested, so I did it =]

Request: To recreate the make up look that Katy Perry wore in her 'Thinking of you' video.

The look is pretty much a classic 50s pin-up girl look and I actually do really like it.  I've never really defined my eyebrows as well as I did in this look and I really like it, so maybe that's a keeper. I love the lip colour as well. The colour Katy Perry wears is a deeper, darker, richer shade of red compared to the normal bright red lips associated with the classic 50s pin-up girl look. The eye look however, is pretty much what you would create for that same pin-up girl look.

I will soon be recording my foundation routine that I used to create flawless looking skin for this look, so keep a look out for the link here sometime soon (and obviously also a blog post linked to the actual tutorial lol).

Here's a list of all the products I used (including the producs I used for my foundation routine):
EYES:
-Two Faced Shadow Insurance
- White Shimmer Powder (This isn't any particular brand but you want to use a shimmery eyeshadow that's similar. Barry M is an affordable brand that's available at drugstores and can provide you with great dupes!)
- MAC Matte Eyeshadow - Wedge (use a colour that's slightly darker than your skin tone to define your crease)
- Collection 2000 Pressed Powder - 02 Tender Touch
- MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack
- MAC Matte Eyeshadow - Carbon
- E.L.F Studio Eyebrow Kit - Dark

LIPS:
- Barry M Lip Liner - LL6 Chocolate
- Barry M Lip Liner - LL3 Red
- MAC Matte Lipstick - Ruby Woo

FACE:
- Astral All Over Moisturiser
- Bobby Brown Skin Foundation SPF15 - #5 Honey
- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer
- GOSH Pressed Powder #3 Warm Sand
- GOSH Natural Blush - 39 Electric Pink

Contest Time?

Hey all!

I posted a video about a week back asking my subscribers if I should have a contest and if I do would I get entries? So I thought I'd post a bulletin here as well and ask you guys if you think you'd enter if I did?

Since I haven't got a massively great response on my video, the contest will probably be in about a month or so and will most likely be a comment entry contest. If you think you'll enter, or you have any ideas for the contest please let me know! =]

Thanks

Youtube tutorial - Seven Deadly Sins Series - Gluttony

So, I started this series about 4 months ago with Vanity but I've since deleted the video because I didn't like the look and I didn't get round to doing any of the others. I was requested to do Gluttony by BlakeBarbieDoll so I decided that I would start the whole series of again and this time do so, with Gluttony.

Gluttony: "The over-indulgence and over-consumption of anything to the point of waste"
Punishment: You will be force-fed rats, toads and snakes.
Normally associated with: The colours oranges, golds and pinks, and also the pig.

This look took me over an hour to do because it was the first time I've ever used gems... and trust me, if you've never used them before and maybe you're thinking of using them, make sure you're a patient person. Luckily, I might not be a completely patient person but I'm kind of a perfectionist so I tend not to give in until I've got my preferred outcome so I stuck at it and voila! =D

List of all the products I used:
EYES:
- E.L.F Studio Eyebrow Kit - Dark
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance
- Barry M Super Soft Crayon Matte - No. 9 Hot Pink
- 120 Pro Palette - White, Hot Pink, Purple
- Barry M Dazzle Dust - DD100 Brass
- White Shimmer Powder (or any other shimmery white you may own)
- MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack
- Barry M Kohl Pencil - KP1 Black
- 1mm Gold Body Gems
- 1mm Pink Body Gems
- 2mm Silver Body Gems

All body gems purchased from Diamante Crafts.

FACE:
- Astral All Over Moisturiser
- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer NW35
- MAC MSF Petticoat

LIPS:
- NYC Lip Liner Pencil - #956
- Barry M Super Soft Eye Crayon Matte - No. 9 Hot Pink

I really hope you guys like this look. Comment below letting me know what you think and maybe tell me what sin you'd like to see done next? ;)
